Griffin Legal PLLC was founded in 2010 to focus on the legal needs of Texas businesses, with a particular interest in social entrepreneurs and mission-driven enterprises.
Eric has many years of experience as a corporate in-house attorney in the financial, construction, and professional service industry sectors. He is the former General Counsel of Protection One, Inc., the largest security alarm company in the U.S. after its acquisition of ADT. There, he was responsible for all legal matters, including corporate governance and policies, mergers and acquisitions, customer and vendor contracting, HR counseling, IP management, legal compliance, and litigation management.
Since 2010, he has been in private practice, primarily serving the interests of clients in the information technology, construction, oil and energy, security and consumer goods industries. He has also represented many social entrepreneurs and small businesses in a variety of sectors.
He is a member of the Texas Bar Association and the Comal County, Texas Bar Association. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Eric serves as a director of the Texas Historical Foundation, a Texas non-profit established in 1954 to provide funds for historic preservation projects and to promote Lone Star history education.
